First off I want everyone to know that I am a serious Power Acoustik (P/A) fan and I just bought a F-150 and decided to go all P/A. My purchase / system is the factory head unit, 4 4-way Pioneer 4x6 TS-A4670R series door speakers (awesome), P/A NEO-40 tweets(read review), 2 12" Infinity Reference 1252W subs (perfect for 4-door F-150's), 1 P/A 1.2F Cap, 1 P/A C-1B crossover, and 1 P/A LT980 980 watts amp wired at 4 ohms, all wired with Monster and Rockford wiring. The P/A cap is a good looking, compact sized cap and the neons are cools. However, the PCNC-1.2F is not representing itself like it should. P/A is a good company but they fell short on this capacitor. My reasons for saying this is simple: 1. the charging stage of this cap doesn't seem effective even though it come w/ a resistor and it's as simple as placing the resistor where the fuse would go it just doesn't seem to charge well, I would recommened using a multimeter for better verfication b/c I didn't, but I did let it charge for 6 hours the first time (which seemed to work), 2 hours the second, 10 mins, and just Tuesday 5/2/06 for 8 hours. 2. Now here is why I have been discharging & charging so much, b/c it is not making much of a difference in assiting my battery & altenator in maintaining power through out my F-150. My lights still dim just as bad, my amp still craves for more power and "the cap will completely discharge and I have to smash on the gas for extra juice or wait 30-45 sec for it to come back on." I am debating on doubling up the caps to see what would happen, but for 980 watts I really shouldn't have to. This product is not a reflection of Beach Audio as they were helpful in the purchasing of my product but this is a unfourtante direct reflection of Power Acoustik! It's sad to say, but I must, that the best product they have came out with in the last 3 years was the FUBR & MOFO series subs.
Hopefully this was helpful for you!
