I purchased this monitor after checking out many of the Samsung monitors, including the Touch of Color series, the SyncMaster series, as well as Dell's UltraSharp line. This was the best deal I found on a monitor that was 24" wide, had height/tilt/swivel, and was made by a brand with a good reputation. It is not one of Samsung's more popular monitors in the U.S., probably because they are coming out with several now that also serve as HDTVs.
I am using it for graphic/web design as well as some light video editing, and so far it has worked great. I have it connected to a MacBook Pro. I have 0 complaints. The colors are great and it handles shadows well.
As with any TN panel monitor, viewing angles from top to bottom are not great. If you move your head a couple of inches up or down, the color variation is pretty significant. However, it was not nearly as bad from side-to-side as people said TN panels tend to be. As long as you aren't bouncing up and down in your chair, everything should be fine.
The menu is pretty easy to navigate. There are tactile buttons that are clearly marked at the bottom right-hand corner of the monitor.
It is a very bright monitor, but that is easily taken care of with some calibration. I used Apple's native calibration tool and it served my purpose well.
Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. BeachAudio.com offered the best price when cost and shipping were added together, so don't be fooled by other retailers who offer the product at a cheaper price but will charge you tax and overpriced shipping.
