These speaker stands are solid. The crackle black finish to the steel complements any contemporary decor. My Klipsch reference series RSX-4 speakers can't be anchored to the top plate of the speaker stand, because the screw holes don't line up, so get yourself some good two-way tape. For hardcore audiophiles, you can fill the tubes with sand or shot, but unless you have really top-heavy speakers, that's probably unnecessary. The only complaint is that speaker stands this expensive should have some way to bury the cables in the middle of the stand. These speakers have guide-loops that go at the base of the back tube and just underneath the top plate. While it's better than nothing, it would be nice to have better cable management. Regardless, I'm pleased with this purchase.
