The smartdisk flashtrax xt is good but it doesn't have alot of the photo functionality that was in the previous version (flashtrax). I didn't like that fact that when it's low on battery, it fails to give any kind of warning and if you're in the middle of copying files to the flashtrax it would fail to copy without any error messages. Similarly, if it runs out of memory, it fails to warn the user and you can be mislead to believe everything copied ok when it didn't. If you deleted your files off of your memory card and you thought it was copied over to the flashtrax then you could be in for a major heartbreak.
You can't see the filesizes of your files, only the names and you don't get any file information that was in the previous version.
The functionalities for playing radio are not clear and it's not really useable. For example, it doesn't tell you how to tune for stations. And the preset stations don't play anything.
Doesn't allow you to copy files from flashtrax to your memory card. It's only a one way copy. Which makes it impossible to update your camera's firmware without another media card reader to write the firmware file on the media card.
The good things about it versus the previous version is it's faster in copying files and a little cheaper with more memory.
