DOA

By Ben from Kentucky on 01/05/2012

Got one of these to power a 14 mobile monitor. DOA, never worked as voltage output =0. Wish the connector was an L shaped connector too so it doesn't stick out.

Good, portable, traveling tool

By pcuser from eastern washington on 07/31/2010

This NB305 is a good, portable traveling tool. It comes light on the ram so I purchased the max available memory - 2 GB - which should have come standard. The charging unit is a bit large and bulky, and (as one person already commented) the connection to the laptop should be angled to reduce the device profile. Keys are comfortably spaced, however they should be sculpted (these keys a lot like the IBM Jrs chicklet keys from the early days of computers. I thought we'd learned a lot about ergonomics since then. Maybe not? The screen is crisp, easily read. I like Windows 7 (I didn't like Vista so am pleased at the change). Wireless connection software and hardware work flawlessly. I'd like another USB port or two since the only IO is through the wireless or a USB device. I wish there was a larger ram card available (at least 4 GB) since sometimes the machine dogs when downloading large files while running virus software.

Power Adaptor - The good, the bad and the ugly

By Mike Roprocessor from New Jersey on 04/28/2010

I give a thumbs up to Toshiba for my NB305 series netbook. They did the right thing and put the power connector on the side of the unit. The bad is that they should have designed the plug so that was an L (angled) instead of striaght. It sticks out so far that it is easy to get bumped. The ugly is that because it sticks out so far, it only needs to come out a little for it not to charge any more. BAD BAD design.
