Great experience-- I purchased a cheap smoker last year and the door broke on the first use so I decided to spend the extra money on this one and I am very happy. I didn't realize a cover came with the smoker which is necessary to put on when storing outside otherwise rain will go through the top and rust the inside grates because the top holes cannot be fully closed like the Weber Grill-- Biggest trick is regulating the temp which most people who smoke know. I was happy with the price and I was also happy with the speed that the Smoker was delieverd (I think it was 3 or 4 days)Smoker was also very easy to put together. It took me about 35 minutes to put together the cheaper smoker [...] took me 4 hours and I am somewhat handy around the house.

I live next door to TandT. After seeing his WSM and tasting what came off of it, I had to have one. I ordered it on Sunday. It arrived on Thursday. The following Sunday I did the inaugural cooking. It consisted of 5 racks of spare ribs, one boston butt and a whole beef brisket. The results were wonderful. One neighbor, a professional chef, said the brisket was "The best he had ever had. Bar none." The unit was easy to use. The thermometer is large enough that I can monitor the cooking from inside my living room. This is nice when the heat index is 110. Like TandT, I am also a judge with a South Carolina group. The WSM was originally recommended to TanT and I by another judge who did not own one at the time. He has since bought on for himself. This brings to total count of WSM smokers on our block to 3. If you are really in to smoking and don't need a "big rig" smoker, this is the one for you.

I ordered this product from Beach Audio [...].. Used it for the 1st time the following Sunday with 3 boston butts (preparing pulled pork for sandwiches). It was raining early, but had a small window of opportunity to start the smoker using the minion method with apple wood chunks in the charcoal. About the same time i got the butts on and the smoker up to temp (@235 - 240 degrees) the skys opened up and we were drenched (blessed, if you will) for most of the day with about 3 inches of rain off and on / hard and soft. All the while the WSM kept chugging away ... the only problem i had was keeping the TEMP DOWN ..... After 9 hours, smoking in the rain, i pulled the butts off the WSM and, with neighbors over, feasted on some of the best pulled pork i can remember .... (BTW ... i am a judge for bbq competitions in SC ... so when i tell you that the WSM is a GREAT SMOKER, easy to use and you will consistently harvest GREAT BBQ from it, believe me ... )
