Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Bought this for use in a room without cable; site should have prompted antenna purchase--even the in-box instructions weren't clear on that issue. Once channels are scanned, most digital channels come in and picture quality is very good. Manually entering them is cumbersome but for the money, I can't complain.
