I bought this cooker instead of the very popular but twice-as-expensive Zojirushi cookers. I've done brown rice once and oatmeal half a dozen times and it's done flawlessly every time. The timer feature makes usually troublesome steel-cut oats easy for a lazy cook like me to set up in the evening. When morning comes, it's hot and ready just like a coffee maker. Can't see a thing wrong with it today. Ask me again in a few years!

A very nice product. It was more compact in size then I expected so I was happy. I didn't want it to take up a lot of room. Design is nice. Works extremely well. I have only used it for white rice, but it can do soups and steam vegetables as well. Very versatile.
