Xacti CG65 employs the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264. This highly efficient data-compression technology, also used in one-segment broadcasting, enables surprisingly high image quality and long recording times. Around 80 minutes of video can be recorded onto a 1 GB SD memory card. That equates to 30% more recording time than with one of our earlier movie cameras (the CG6), and around five times more recording time than with the E6 digital camera.
