Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I now own 3 of these Seagate 1TB drives and I'll be ordering another from Beach soon. You can't beat such a high capacity drive at a reasonable cost. The drive is almost silent and very easy to install. So far performance is excellent. Just pop 4 of these drives in a Drobo and you should be set for a while.
