I had this TV and I was very happy when I got it. Since it was lower priced, it let me "break into" the LCD field of television. I cannot compare the picture quality to other LCDs but it was great compared to my old CRT. Well, three months after owning it, the source button stopped working. I couldn't do anything with it but watch TV. No X-box, no DVDs, etc...just TV. So I called customer service with a toll number to Canada. They didn't even provide a tollfree number! They put you through eleven minutes of push this button for that and that button for this and you end up with a recording that says you have to box it yourself, and mail it at your expense to CANADA??? Are you kidding? That's the warranty. No lie. A button doesn't work and I have to spend $10 on a phone call to get the information to spend $60 to send it to CANADA and be without a TV for six weeks! I wouldn't recommend this to anyone without disposable income. That way they can just buy another when it breaks and learn the hard way like I did. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that they warn you over and over again in the message about sending it to CANADA, for any service, that if it is damaged in shipping, your warranty is void. So you risk shipping it back and forth every time you have a problem and possibly losing the warranty. It's ridiculous that there are no qualified service centers around the US to help. Mine was damaged in shipping and had a crack in the display so it is useless. UPS says that I needed two walled cardboard? with two inches of insulation surronding the unit and something else? They say my box with styrofoam surronding it was inadequate, so insurance was denied. If Soyo needs you to send a TV to CANADA to have service, they should provide TV worthy boxes. They are in the business, not me. I really thought I packed it well since I was warned so many times about the void warranty. Now I have no warranty (which was terrible anyway) and no TV

This LCD tv is priced well below the others. I bought as an open box item for [$]that being said, it is going back. It surprisingly has 3 HDMI inputs, but unfortunately #1 doesn't work, #3 cannot be accessed because of the design of the back of this unit doesn't allow enough room for the connection of the cable to fit where it needs to be. #2 works but when you select it to be used, it displays "No Signal" for about 5 to 10 seconds before finally working properly. And it does this everytime!! It has a S Video connection but shares the audio with one of the AV connections. The factory settings are horrible, not that I usually use them but they shouldn't look that bad. Comes with probably one of the worst remotes I've ever seen, looks like it should be used with a kids toys. Some of the features of the remote are really interesting and impractical. It just really looks cheap, feels cheap, performs cheap.
