The connectors on both ends fail to stay securly connected. I tried each end on two different pieces of equipment. Another cable worked fine which each piece of equipment

This Toslink cable does what it should. It provides an interface from the DEQ2496 digital equalizer to an external DAC (E-mu 0404 USB 2.0) And Wow! The price is REALLY good.
