I think this is best used with shaving cream. I don't know if its fair to review this product until I've been using it for the recommended 1 month break in period.

I use my Panasonic shavers dry. Usually wait for 2-3 days growth and use the trimmer to cut then the shaver for close shave. Cleans up easy and don't need to use any expensive gimmicky cleaning systems various brands have these days. The trimmer on the 8103 is smaller and not as good as the one on my ES8152. Bought this one because my 8152 was getting old/holding less charge and there is lots of conflicting information about replacement foil/blade sets on amazon reviews.
