If theres one thing CDs have done theyve spoiled us. Crystal clear sound every time. No magnetized or dirty heads. And your CD player will never eat a disc.

Cassette tapes are another story. They are convenient, but fragile portable but limited. Cassette players are exposed to dust and hair, and every time you play a tape, it leaves behind tiny pieces of metal called oxides. Build up of oxides and dust will dull the sound and even cause the tape to get caught in a sticky roller, stretch and break. In other words, your tape gets eaten.

The Ultra Pro Audio Cleaner uses five non-abrasive fiber felt pads and a tension wiper arm to create firm pressure and remove stubborn oxide build up. It uses Ultreen cleaning solution to clean the entire surface of the rollers and the tape head. Using this on a regular basis (once a month or so) will help save your tapes from getting eaten and keep the sound nice and clear.

Cassettes are considered retro now days but this product helps keep the retro clean and working. Having recently rediscovered my Metal cassettes this helps me keep them playing well.

If you're sticking with an old-school cassette unit for interviews and such (that's my use), you need this. A nicely packaged product that does the job as advertised.

This is probably the best way to clean car tape decks without having to take them apart. It covers the capstans and pinch rollers too, not just the head.

A good all around product. I have used it for years. Not perfect, but nothing is! Good for those hard to reach machines. If used on semi- regular basis will keep things clean.

I still have my original cleaning cassettes from many years ago with some extra replacement pads. The pads do a great job cleaning the heads and rollers of the cassette player. I've really only needed to buy new cleaning fluid in all the years I've used the product.
