Everything I had hoped for.

A great all in one component for my theater system. Its a filter, power monitor, and battery back-up all rolled up in one. Where I live, Oklahoma, I see this as a necessary item, and for the price well worth it.

Very sleek appearance and style. A little on the heavy side. Replaced my Monster HTS 2600 with this unit. So far so good. Tested the battery backup and its great along with the audible alarm (which you can also disable). Nice job Belkin. Was interested in APC's newest venture into the home theater market, but you can only buy direct from installers. Only complaint, wish belkin would allow you to connect add'l batteries to it.

I found the PureAV Ap30800-10 to be a pretty slick, simple, unit. The display shows you how much battery capacity is left. How much current load on the unit. It checks the lines for grounding. It has a self test to check the batteries. It has an audible alarm you can switch on/off when the power gets cut. And there is a resettable breaker on the back of the unit.

I let the batteries charge overnight. I couldn't resist testing it. It was weird to have the TV and cable box running and pull the plug to the PureAV and it all kept running from battery. I didn't see a hicup at all on the TV screen when it made the transition to battery power. You couldn't see a difference. You hear a little hum from the unit running from battery, that's it. I had the alarm set to sound. It's an intervaled beep to let you know you're on battery.
