In store demo unit, which was reported as coming direct from Sony, exhibited erratic behavior. I purchased a new one anyway (unopened) which worked well for 20 minutes into the first movie then froze. Would not read any discs thereafter.

Very good product for the money. Well worth getting if you want to get the best picture from your large widescreen HDTV. Only downfalls are lack of ethernet connection for firmware updates and slow startup. Overall, good value and good product.
