FEATURES- Single Disc DVD Player
The SD-3990 DVD player features ColorStream Pro Progressive Scan
Component Video Outputs for enhanced color purity and image detail.
DivX Home Theater Certified allows playback of DivX, AVI and MPEG4
(.ASF) compressed files downloaded from the internet from a
personal computer and stored on a CD-R/RW. The convenient JPEG
Photo Viewer enables users to seamlessly display digital
photographs from disc onto their televisions. Play back MP3 and WMA
files effortlessly from compatible CD-R and CD-RW discs. Virtual
Surround Sound recreates dynamic multi channel surround sound from
two stereo speakers.

- DivX Home Theater Certified
DivX Home Theater Certified allows playback of DivX (.div/.dvix), .AVI
and MPEG4(.ASF) compressed files downloaded from the internet from a
personal computer and stored on a CD-R/-RW. The support extends to
full version of DivX 3.11, 4.12 and 5.x as well as DivX PRO, with
video resolutions of 720 x 480 @ 30 fps and 720 x 576 @ 25 fps. Audio
support for a multitude of formats including: MP3, AC-3 (2 ch and 5.1
ch), WMA, LCPM, ADPCM and Ogg Vorbis.
- ColorStream Pro Component Video Outputs
These outputs allow the video signal to be sent from the DVD player to
a component video equipped interlaced or progressive scan TV. When
this connection is utilized with todays HD-compatible sets, typical
NTSC artifacts-like video noise, dot crawl, and flicker-are virtually
eliminated, resulting in a low-noise, highly detailed picture with
unequaled color purity.

Delivers the smoothest, most film-like images to any progressive scan
television, such as an HD-compatible one, and ensures maximum
resolution.
- Digital Picture Zoom
Electronically magnifies a section of the DVD picture as it appears on
the television. Great for focusing on special effects or reducing the
black letterbox masking at the top and bottom of select titles when
viewed on a conventional (4:3) television.

Enables the display of digital photographs captured in the JPEG
format. Simply load the CD with your favorite photos and create custom

This interactive DVD feature allows you to select an area of the

presented as still images. Viewers can select these images with a
cursor.
- Screen Saver
The player can be set to automatically go into a screen saver mode
after several minutes of inactivity. While in this mode, the Toshiba
DVD logo appears and "ping-pongs" across the screen. Many movies will
display the main movie menu indefinitely after the movie has ended. If
left onscreen for a prolonged period, burn-in on the TV screen may
result without this feature.
