Placed in a corner, with TV needed at 45 degree angle for viewing. The 3 types of articulation this mount provides gave the solution. It also allows us to pull out/swing over the mount to get at the connections on side and back of our Sony z5100 tv. We had carpenters move it once after mounting, to get the proper swing angle (it was difficult to know before mounting it once to see how far/what direction it articulated). It worked great for us. We mounted into a (largish) section of solid 2x wood placed between wall studs - that let us move it over after mounting it the first time. Now, it works great.
