No, I would not recommend this to a friend
As the title states, this game does NOT offer offline multiplayer support. For me, it's a dealbreaker... Unfortunately I found that out AFTER I opened the game and started playing. If you don't care at all about offline multiplay, and enjoy FPS's, I'd recommend the game. Visually it's stunning. And the gameplay is fantastic. But the lack of offline multiplay is bad... true, perhaps not a 1-star bad, but I intentionally did this to ensure folks are made aware BEFORE purchasing/opening the game.
