Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I was a little disappointed to find that when my order arrived, it did not have any cable to go with it. But after a little research I found the Motorola Part Number for the USB Cable: CBA-U01-S07ZAR. Once I finally got the cables I was able to use the device ... which unfortunately was a bit slow recognizing several QR Codes that I had printed out. This may have been a user error though as I found that if you move the scanner closer to the bar code as you are scanning it, it can pick up the bar code a little faster.
