1/30/08 Three annoying things with this phone. 1. The volume is very low, even at its highest level, especially on the answering machine (hard to hear your messages). 2. When you hang up from a call, a couple seconds later, the base clicks like two or three times with what sounds like an intercom noise (I read another review with the same problem so it's not isolated). 3. The base makes short bursts of static when I'm on the phone and talk loud or laugh. And I sit about six feet from the base. I've had many panasonics, but am returning this one. It's just too annoying.
