The phone is wall mounted and is under a cabinet with a small desk. A back light in the display panel would have been a great option.

We bought this model to replace our 600 series model on which the digital display had become garbled. Tech support online was very helpful. Shipping was lightning-quick. Unfortunately, initial set-up was quite frustrating. Just setting the time and date proved baffling. We repeatedly followed the written directions to no avail. Eventually, for no discernible reason, the phone began accept input. Some steps to set-up seemed missing or unclear. Post-set-up the phone is working fine.

I've used any number of Panasonic devices over the years, and this telephone seemed like a logical choice. I find it a bit difficult to use at times since I'll start to dial a number in the on hook manner, and when I look to check the numbers I've input, there's only one, the others are ???? If I clear the display and redial it usually works. The other complaint I have is the voice mail "message" doesn't display because the "missed calls" message prevents it from showing. So if you are gone for any length of time, have a couple of missed calls, there is no indication of any voice mail messages until you hear the stutter dial tone, or clear the missed calls display. There is a small LED on the upper right corner of the base, but it doesn't flash with a visual "message waiting" indication like most phones would with the same set up. Nice looking phone, and probably a little bit of a disappointment but also an economic decision since they can only put so much technology into a lower priced phone. Oh, the speed dial programming is very frustrating. Not the least bit user friendly. Sorry Panasonic, maybe you should stick to TVs and stereos.

I had three phones before this one (not Panasonic) and all cheap and horrible. I should have known better as before the three phones, I had a Panasonic for about 25 years! So, I will now stick with the brand I know is the best quality: Panasonic! Thank you Panasonic!

All our phones in our house are Panasonic. They all have given us excellent service over the years, so it was not difficult to make the decision to buy another Panasonic phone. The price was fair, the quality of the phone is excellent, and delivery of the phone very responsive.
