I bought this vacuum for its ease of use. It was easy to go from carpets to floors with just a click of a button,but when my husband used it he didn't know it would do that so he took the plug to the beater bar out and it never just clicked back in after that. It was a real pain because it would never line up correctly. After a while it bent the plug and broke it, burning it out. There is too much plastic in this model. They just don't make them like they used to.

We have 4 dogs, 2 who shed like mad and this vac is great for us. It has excellent suction, is easy to get out and put away quickly, has many features that make it easier than most to operate (like on-off switch on handle). After several years of using bagless upright vacs with filters, I am so happy with the bagged canister. It does a wonderful job on both wood floors and carpet and anything inbetween. Haven't owned it long enough to report on how it stands up to long-term use but it certainly seems more substantial than my past few vacs purchased at big-box stores.

I own a cleaning business and this gets used everyday for at least 5 hours. Stands the beating... I only wish it had a bad check indicator. Since it doesnt you have to pay attention to the suction. Other then that Panasonic WTG!!!!

[...] First time we used it, the on-off switch would not shut off the vacuum, and we had to pull the plug to turn it off. This happened many times during the next few days. Also, the attachments are held on by friction, so when you are cleaning pillows, or furniture, and pulling the handle toward you, the accessory falls off. I called Panosonic for help with the switch and they told me the nearest service center is about 40 miles away.It is a powerful, quiet vacuum, but the faults would keep me from recommending it.

i started using panasonic vac's 25 yrs ago. [...]so i went thru about 15-20 diff vacuums since then. i go thru four a yr approx. as i am very rough. i also am disabled in back, neck, skull and shoulders from car crash with drunk driver. i got this vacuum prob two months ago and love it. its very very lightweight, very good suction and it dont hurt me to use it. i love the cord that rewinds itself into the machine. i love the fact u can sit the vacum upright. the swivel is great too. u just can not kill a panasonic as u see from above. my friend got one off the side of road ten yrs ago, still running great. nohting wrong with it. i've tried every other kind anyone makes. no luck. always back to a panasonic.
