1st: Typical to most electronic gadget - instruction manual is poorly written. I had to write my own. 2) For BMW E39, it states to flip dip switch to 4. There is no video output when number 4 dip switch is turned on. I had to play around with the dip switches to get video output. I had to turn on dip switches 2 & 4 to finally get video output. Video is poor so you will have to tweak the picture adjustment pots to get the best picture possible. Use a test DVD with color patterns to get optimal video setting. 3) You will have to hard ground the Blue wire to get constant video output. 4) Not a bad module for the price. Dan.
