Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Looks great and sounds great at a very reasonable price. I especially like the piano black finish. I have a Yamaha baby grand in the same room and it matches perfectly. Some of their AV receivers have HDMI support and upscale or upconvert video to 720p/1080i. That would be a great feature to have but unfortunately, Yamaha does not include any of those receivers in any of their home-theater-in-a-box packages. You would spend much more if you purchased the receiver and speakers separately.
