This stage 2 air intake system uses a 3-1/2 inch diameter black powder-coated aluminum tube for the intake tract, a massive 5-1/2 inch Pro 5R air filter. The simple snap-in housing utilizes the factory lower air box for an easy installation. The 3-angle adaptor is used to speed up the air flow after the air filter for improved performance and throttle response. All of these combined produces 18 maximum horsepower, 23 pounds x feet torque and out-flowed the factory intake by 27 percent. 5-1/2 inch conical filter with inverted top: This intake utilizes a huge, 5-1/2 inch oval conical Pro 5R performance air filter with inverted top for maximum flow. This 5-layer progressive, oiled cotton gauze air filter provides maximum flow for increased horsepower and torque. Top mounted heat shield design: aFe developed this heat shield to snap onto the top of the lower half of the factory air box to provide a hassle-free installation utilizing factory mounting locations. 3-angle adaptor: The 3-angle adaptor is used to speed up the air flow after the air filter for improved performance and throttle response.
