The Equal-i-zer hitch head, with its patented design, generates two robust points of rotational resistance to prevent side-to-side sway even before it begins. The tension created by the hitch head gripping the two spring arm sockets serves as these 2 points of resistance, effectively keeping the trailer aligned behind the tow vehicle and combating sway. The sway control is engaged by downward pressure from the trailer tongue and upward pressure on the spring arms, which connect the hitch head to the sway control brackets and distribute the trailer tongue weight.
