The ToughArmor MB105VP-B is a 5.25-inch ruggedized full-metal removable dual U.2/U.3 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD mobile rack enclosure, supporting up to 64Gbps data transfer speeds through Slimline SAS (SFF-8654-8i) connection in a single 5.25-inch (optical drive) bay. In addition, the innovative removable drive tray design allows users to effortlessly access U.2 or U.3 drives from the front of the system. Easy Drive Access The MB105VP-B is equipped with two EZ Slide Mini removable full-metal drive trays supporting from 7mm to 15mm drive height, making drive maintenance a more efficient and straightforward process. Enterprise Drive Cooling Solution The built-in 40mm x 20mm rear cooling fan effectively blows away the heat generated by the U.2/U.3 SSDs through the intelligently placed ventilation holes within the enclosure. Depending on the intensity of the workload on the U.2/U.3 drives, the user can adjust between three fan settings: Hi, Low and Off. The additional cooling space above the drive trays allows the cooling fan to exhaust the drive heat more efficiently to prevent the drive from overheating. NVMe 4.0 Performance The MB105VP-B connects 2 x U.2/U.3 SSD with only a single Slimline-SAS (SFF-8654-8i) to reduce cable clutter while offering NVMe 4.0 transfer speeds up to 64Gbps per drive bay. Packed with Features The Slimline-SAS and 15-pin SATA power connectors are compatible with cables that have locking latch designs. Once the cables are connected, the locking latches will secure the connections in place. The LED status light in each drive tray gives you the drive status information at a glance. With Active Power Technology (APT), the LED lights turn on when the drive is inserted and automatically shut off when all drives are removed. EMI Grounding Technology Grounding your drives is essential as swapping drives without proper grounding may damage hardware due to static shocks. With our innovative EMI Grounding Technology, once the drive is screwed onto the drive tray, the drive will be in a constant grounded state throughout the tray, housing, and computer system to ensure your drives are protected from static electrical surges safe during drive swapping.
