Schaefer's opening pre-feeder 45-06 allows you to save your luff tape from damage during a rushed maneuver, thanks to the fact that it can be reopened and re-engaged on the luff tape in the event things go haywire. This not only saves your sail, but also time around the windward mark, by allowing you to keep hoisting the headsail without having to take the entire thing back on deck. Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and then hard coat anodized, the 45-06 can be opened with the pull of a simple pin. For use with a variety of luff tapes and designed not to bend or jam.
