This USB Type-C Hub with RS-232 Serial, Gigabit Ethernet, and 100W USB-C Power Delivery Pass-Through adds two USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps) Type-A ports to a USB-C or USB-A enabled computer. The attached 2ft (60cm) USB-C host cable includes a tethered USB-C to USB-A adapter that enables the USB Hub to easily connect to both USB-A and USB-C host computers. The USB Hub adds an RS-232 serial DB-9M connector to a desktop or laptop. The USB to RS-232 adapter features COM retention, which automatically reassigns the COM port value if the cable is disconnected and reconnected, or the system is rebooted. The Gigabit Ethernet controller is compatible with the IEEE 802.3u/ab standards and supports Wake-on-LAN (WoL), Jumbo Frames, and V-LAN Tagging. The network adapter enhances laptop network reliability, security, and performance, by utilizing wired 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet. Charge a host laptop by connecting the host laptop's USB-C power supply to the USB Power Delivery (PD) port (85W laptop charging). Connect a power source to the USB-C PD pass-through port to power the connected host device. PD 3.0 features Fast Role Swap (FRS) to prevent USB data disruption when switching power sources (USB-C power adapter to bus power).
