MODEL- TICBL2 DESC.-TEXAS INSTRUMENTS Accessory FEATURES- Calculator Based Laboratory 2 * CBL 2 will act similar to CBL, but with many enhancements (uses same basic command structure of CBL) * Will be much easier to use (can start data collection with two button pushes and no calculator) * Flash memory (operating system is electronically upgradable, update built in user programs, archive data) * Multi-purpose user program for all calculators built into Flash (transfer to calc similar to CBR, for the TI-83 Plus, it will transfer as an APP) * User programs will be language localized * Ability to archive multiple data sets from experiments (in Flash) * Ability to store user program settings for different experiments (create experiment files) * 3 analog channels, one sonic/bi-directional digital port * Uses calculator LCD screen to display more information than old CBL LCD screen * 3 LED on the CBL 2 for user feedback (ready, collecting, error) * One handed design (unique docking cradle will mate calculator to CBL 2) * Collect up to 12000 data points vs 512 per channel for CBL * Can go back and retrieve chunks of this data, every nthpoint, or send to computer * 10,000 samples/sec simultaneously on all analog channels vs. 10,000/sec for CBL and less for more than one channel or condition * 50,000 samples/sec data collection rate for one analog channel * Quick start data collection without calc attached and using auto-id probes (two button push simplicity) * Ability to use CBL 2 as a portable hard drive for the calculator (store/retrieve other user programs, regular data lists using a Flash management program) * Should run most current CBL programs * Stainless steel temp, light and voltage probe included * Probes currently compatible with CBL should work with CBL 2 * TI InterActive! will be compatible with CBL 2 * Real-time data collection from multiple channels * Real-time velocity through sonic channel * Multi-meter mode is taken care of in user program * Can retrieve archived data with any calc * Can now trigger off temp and sonic probe * Ability to add custom probes to user program * Battery voltage regulator for improved accuracy * No off button (CBL 2 goes to low power state, similar to CBR) * Can power up CBL 2 to give probes time to stabilize (ie. pH probe, CO2 probe) during long term experiments www.ticalc.com |
