Air charge temperature sensors measure air temperature through changing resistance and sends this information to the onboard computer. The computer uses this and other inputs to calculate the correct amount of fuel delivered. Symptoms of failure include no start, engine flooding, poor fuel economy and/or a steady check engine light.
