Don't buy this for the advertised range.
First of all, Fortin is a good company with an excellent and good quality remote starter unit. With that said, this 4-button remote unit is good quality, but should only be considered if you don't need/want longer range. I called Fortin, and they said that the 6000 ft range is only in good weather with clear line of sight (basically ideal radio transmission conditions). If you're in the city, you will get maybe... maybe half the advertised range. If you're looking for a keychain remote that works well with the remote starter unit and that has good, convenient features and to use in regular distances from the car, then this unit would be good. Bottom line, you will not get anywhere near the advertised range under normal usage.
