Description

This item is brand-new, factory sealed.

Fowler 52-646-220-0, X-Tender Dial Bore Gage Kit with 35-160mm Measuring Range
  • Accurate Measurements: This bore gage features a dial indicator with graduations of 0.01mm and a measuring depth of 9.5"
  • Extended Range: This bore gage with a two-point contact system is used for measuring hole diameters and to detect geometry abnormalities such as ovality and taper; carbide-tipped anvil contact points provide extended wear and improved abrasion resistance
  • Set Includes: A bore gage with an insulated grip, two measuring feet ranging 35-50mm and 50-160mm respectively, 16 interchangeable anvils, spacers for fine adjustment of the range, a 55mm extension holder, and a fitted case
  • Self Centering: The easily adjustable bore gauge is self-centering for fast, accurate measurements
  • Requires standards for setting nominal sizes (not supplied)

Fowler 52-646-220-0 Cylinder Dial Bore Gage with carbide tipped anvils has a 35-160mm measurement range. Bore gages measure holes or bores in a workpiece. They can measure the interior diameter of a hole at any depth (within its reach), while internal micrometers can only measure the depth of their contacts. Bore gages are typically calibrated with a setting ring and come in two types: simple and direct measuring. Simple bore gages are used with a caliper to transfer the hole measurement. In contrast, the more complex gages take the measurement directly and display it through a vernier, dial, or digital display. Bore gages have a two- or three-point contact, indicating how many points on the gage head touch the inside of the bore. Two-point contacts are better at measuring ovality, while three-point contacts measure lobing or triangular form error. Fowler, an American company, manufactures premium inspection and measurement instruments like electronic indicators, calipers, bore gages, and micrometers. The company, founded in 1946, is headquartered in Newton, MA.
